Additives: Schulle takes over from Meyer at Baerlocher

Additives supplier Baerlocher Group announced last Friday that Arne Schulle, currently managing director of subsidiary Baerlocher GmbH and the Group CFO, will succeed Felix Meyer as CEO of the Baerlocher Group, with the change to take effect January 1, 2010.

The Baerlocher group of companies is a leading supplier of additives for plastics, in particular for PVC. Its offerings include stabilizers based on CaZn, CaOrg, Pb, BaZn, and Sn, as well as other additives.
 

Schulle joined Baerlocher in 2003 after working at Bayer. Along with CEO duties, he will also remain responsibile for global finance and operations in Europe, and remain MD of Baerlocher GmbH.

Meyer, who joined the supplier five years ago from Ciba, where he was that company’s additives leader, will become a member of Baerlocher’s advisory board. He will continue representing Baerlocher in the board of selected joint ventures, as well as working on strategic projects on behalf of the Chairman and the CEO. Meyer led the company’s transition from an owner-managed company to one led by a management team, and also increased Baerlocher’s global footprint. —[email protected]
