Dollins Tool, based in Independence, MO, announced today that its shareholders have reached an agreement to sell the company to the Mold & Robotics Group (Conthey, Switzerland), joining the Swiss automation and tool manufacturer Müller and U.S. automation company, CBW Automation. The merger strengthens the first globally active industry leader in tooling and automation with plants in America and in Europe.

CBW Automation announced on November 29, 2017, that its shareholders reached an agreement to sell the company to the Mold & Robotics Group. With the addition of Dollins Tool, founded in 1952, the Mold & Robotics Group will be able to offer a range of services to customers across multiple continents to meet the increasing demands for food and non-food thin-wall packaging, product design, tooling and automation.

“As a North American leader in thin-wall packaging and mold solutions, we are extremely proud of our team’s accomplishments over the past six decades,” said Mike Klestinec, President of Dollins Tool. “By joining Mold & Robotics Group, we will be part of an international company with technological leadership in both molds and automation. I truly see Mold & Robotics Group as not only the right organization to solidify the future of Dollins Tool, but also to ensure a strong service for our loyal customer base in the long term.”

Udo Grober, CEO of Müller and Mold & Robotics Group, said, “We are excited about Dollins Tool joining the Mold & Robotics Group. It is an ideal complement to Müller and CBW and will help us going forward to be closer to our customers to better serve them. Benefits for our customers will include improved responsiveness granted by our extensive presence in America and Europe as well as an extended product and service offering. “
