PIAB Material Handling has introduced a pneumatic bulk bag unloader for use with its compressed air-powered vacuum conveyors. This simple and self-contained unit is said to be relatively inexpensive, compared to similar units.

With the bulk bag elevated above the station, the spout of the bag is attached (before it is untied) to an inflatable seal. This provides for a dust-tight connection and eliminates the need for glove-boxes, doors or enclosures.

All contact surfaces are constructed of 316 stainless steel. No tools are needed for disassembly and the unit is said to be easily portable.
