Indian packaging processor Manjushree changes name, adds capacity

Rigid packaging processor Manjushree Extrusions (Bangalore, India) has changed its name this month to Manjushree Technopack Ltd., a move it says better reflects its ability to help clients develop packaging, as well as of course processing the packaging. The company works with various blowmolding technologies including extrusion and stretch blowmolding, and also injection molds packaging, closures, and PET preforms.

, a move it says better reflects its ability to help clients develop packaging, as well as of course processing the packaging. The company works with various blowmolding technologies including extrusion and stretch blowmolding, and also injection molds packaging, closures, and PET preforms. Its customer list includes multinationals such as Unilever, P&G, Cadbury, Nestle, GSK, Coke, and Pepsi.

Explaining the rationale for the change of name, Vimal Kedia, managing director, says, “We are very conscious of the fact that our name must indicate what we do and the value that we add to our client’s businesses. When we started 25 years back, ‘Extrusions’ probably did the job but over the last quarter of a century we have changed, our offerings have evolved; our value proposition has become many times stronger. While we are in the business of providing packaging solutions, the technology that we bring to the table in the design and execution of packaging mandates for clients have become a key differentiator for us. We believe the name ‘Manjushree Technopack’ describes us a lot better.” The processor in 2008 won two World Star awards for packaging.

This July, Manjushree Technopack plans an open house to celebrate 25 years in business and to officially inaugurate the installation of its newest preform molding machine, a HyPET 400 with production capacity of about 2 million preforms per day. [email protected]
