Process problems alerted by monitoring software

Article-Process problems alerted by monitoring software

When a machine has problems, valuable production time can be lost trying to track down a supervisor or maintenance technician. In the latest version of Mattec?s ProHelp EPM production and process monitoring software, announcements can be made automatically over a PA system and/or in an e-mail message when a machine goes down or process parameters fall outside the user-specified control limits.

ProHelp EPM 6.2 monitors every cycle of every connected machine in a processing plant and alerts users to critical changes in process conditions such as speeds, temperatures, or pressures so that the process can be corrected before bad parts are produced. Operators can log reasons for downtime, scrap, or maintenance labor using machine interface units on the plant floor to give management a more complete picture of production and productivity. Advanced security options allow only properly trained operators to access particular functions. The system also has the ability to import data from most MRP (manufacturing resource planning) and ERP (enterprise resource planning) systems.?KH
