Tabletop tester

Article-Tabletop tester

A new low-force/high-speed tabletop universal testing machine performs compression, tensile, and cyclic testing at up to 1000G of maximum force. Designated the eXpert 5607, the new unit from Admet Inc. (Norwood, MA) starts at $5900. It provides crosshead speeds of up to 350 in/min.

Equipped with Admet?s eP-DS dynamic servo control, the eXpert 5607 reportedly provides precise measurement of extremely low-force tests plus cyclic testing to 15 Hz. You can program ramp, square, and triangular waveforms. You also can either adjust control gains and endpoint values on the fly, or activate amplitude control so that the eP-DS automatically adjusts the endpoint values to ensure that the targets you desire are met.?CK
