Integrated robot for large-tonnage presses

The TE-45 top-entry robot, the newest addition to Husky?s TE Series, is targeted at large-tonnage machines that frequently face height restrictions. The compact design of the robot reduces ceiling height requirements, yet the robot still offers a generous stroke. The robot reportedly provides fast, repeatable operation with an in/out time of 1.6 seconds and repeatability of +/-.5 mm under a full payload of 45 kg. The robot can be configured to place parts either beside the machine or, with the inline option, at the clamp end. Digital a-c servodrives are used on the main axes. To simplify operation, icons on the PC-based touch-screen control help facilitate intuitive programming. Robot controls are integrated into the operator interface on Husky machines to simplify use. Perimeter guarding and a conveyor interface can also be supplied. The TE-45 robot is offered with a three-year warranty.
