Netstal integrated four other suppliers? components with a 100-ton SynErgy machine to make two-component electric toothbrush housings in sub-20-second cycles.

In Netstal?s stand sat a 100-ton version of its SynErgy 2C Series that exemplifies supplier integration as much as high performance. The product being molded was an electric toothbrush handle/housing combining a PP shell with TPE grip and button areas. The 2x2 mold was made by Kaltenbach of Germany, material handling was by Motan, and the part-handling system was from Swiss-based AQS. The L-configured Netstal system made the handles in sub-20-second cycles.
