If you mold it—a crinkle box, in this case—they will come. Long lines formed at the Milacron (Cincinnati, OH) booth at Fakuma to nab one of these tchotchkes.
A Magna T Servo machine molded the boxes from Sabic’s polypropylene Flowpact material in a 19-second cycle time. Shot weight was 115 g. A Ferromatik Milacron robot and DME hot runner were part of the installation, reinforcing the company’s integrated solutions, “One Milacron,” message.
The production cell also included a Motan-Colortronic conveyor system and single-cavity mold from Haidlmair.
