Carlo Gavazzi has broadened its line of digital panel meters with the introduction of a family of microprocessor-based digital indicators and controllers. Included are:
* The basic LDI Series, with prices starting at $150;
* The mid-range EDM35 Series with prices starting at $200; and
* The high-end MDI Series, which includes options for TRMS (true route mean square) input and serial communication, with prices starting at $250.
All meters feature either ac or dc supply voltage, multi-range inputs, up to two contact outputs and optional outputs including analog retransmission output and/or excitation dc output.
Most have user-friendly front panel programming and configuring of all functions, which include displaying value in engineering units, upper/lower alarm set points and precise measurement without using calibration equipment.
Typical applications include temperature control, energy monitoring, pressure control, flow measurement, distance measurement, retransmission of process signals, speed monitoring, resistance monitoring, motor/heater band monitoring and voltage monitoring.
