Let me start by saying that in a K or NPE year, I always first want to thank the plastics industry and event organizers for showcasing the breadth of innovation made possible by polymer science. This year was particularly special, as K 2022 was the first truly international live industry event since the global pandemic upended our lives. It was, in the best sense of the phrase, a return to normalcy, and for that, Messe Düsseldorf: Thank you, thank you, thank you!
I also am profoundly grateful to work with a bunch of great people: Senior Technical Editor Rick Lingle, an expert on packaging and all-around mensch; Stephen Moore, our veteran reporter covering automotive and Asia/Pacific from his perch in Singapore; thought-provoking columnists Allan Griff and Paul Sturgeon; and the freelance writers and industry contributors, all of whom create the great, fact-based content that you so faithfully read.
